Ironwell is a developing medieval/renaissance town which takes inspiration from vanilla Minecraft's tone and the aesthetic of Ozocraft. While the city is nowhere near complete in the current phase, two sections of the project are done and offer the best idea of what's to come.

Note: I am building this world specifically to be used with Ozo's Ozocraft resource pack. While any pack can be used in principle, many buildings and structures will look strange or even ugly without the suggested textures. I highly recommend using Ozocraft for this world!

I will try to post new updates whenever I feel significant progress has been made since the last update.

If Ironwell is something you wish to feature in any kind of media, be it a video, post, or server, I have no issue as long as some credit is provided.

Feel free to post any kind of opinion, idea, or suggestion in the comments. I would like feedback. And of course, enjoy!

12 Update Logs

Update #12 : 06/08/2017 12:16:38 amJun 8th, 2017

It has been quite some time hasn't it. Well, I'm happy to say that I'm back with a new update! A lot has changed since I lasted updated, so let me dive into the details.

I've gotten rid of the building names. It got a point where trying to name each building was really tedious and not fun at all, so I just got rid of all the names. Now it's a bit cleaner and people can name buildings as they like.

A new district has been constructed. It's a middle-lower class district, so some of the buildings show some wear and tear. Aside from this, major wall expansions have happened and work on the mine is underway. In addition, I've given some thought to the university. The university only consists of a very rough outline on the ground right now, but hopefully it'll get some more attention soon.

All in all, I've added quite a bit. Maybe not as much as I should have after 10 months, but it should do for now. Like always, any suggestions for improvement are welcome and I hope you enjoy!

Two words: I love it (That is two words and a letter and you can't convince me otherwise XD)

No, really. This build has a lot of shown potential! I plan on sticking around to its completion!
Two words: Thank you! I've been working pretty hard on this, so I'm glad you enjoy it.
I like your building style. This city is great, but kinda empty. Maybe you can add some villagers or armorstand as a people, but it's not necessarily. Anyway I think, that Ironwell is nice, even without people.
I'm glad you like the buildings :) At one point I thought about adding villagers, but I felt that they would kinda ruin the sanctity of the city. I also decided to leave it empty in case people wanted to use the map for a server or something.

EDIT: "If Ironwell is something you wish to feature in any kind of media, be it a video, post, or server, I have no issue as long as some credit is provided." Thanks!
Yeah, no worries! As long as you give me some form of mention, I don't care how you use it.

Does it work on MAC?
I've never used a mac for gaming, so I would assume all you have to do is place the save wherever Minecraft stores save files on mac. I'm sure you can google this.

Will this project be continued? It has been a long time since the last update.
