welp, its been the longest time since the last update. I feel as if I shouldve gotten it out sooner, but with being a poketuber, and making maps, im honestly surprised ive gotten this far. expect less videos from my youtube channel,

anyway ive got a lot done so stay tuned! this is one of the last possible major updates, so drink it in man!
what I mean by "major update" is that the updates that go over actual locations, while everything else i have to do is the insides of all the buildings, and add npcs that represent the people in the game. once i finish doing both of those things, the map will be properly released. with the current pace (i should start taking this job more seriously) i should be done maybe early 2024. if i get my lazy butt and work more, i should be done in late 2023. (this year around november and december)
anyway... without further ado lets get down to business

so as I said in the title its a tweaks and fixes! but only fixing one thing!
yep, i changed the ground in the caves again.
i know i know im very consistent with that, but its for a good reason!
so I changed the ground in the caves to coarse dirt a while back to make it look accurate. but if i really wanted to make it accurate, i wouldve had the mountains and cave walls be granite.
so I changed it to fit the regular stone style, while using the andesite block! and with that, I have found a use for every main stone block! except for basalt, and some others. and I also replaced the terracotta block for sand when its around water! mainly in the cities though. and you can see how this affects certain cities and towns, like new bark town, cherrygrove city, and goldenrod city. you can even see the sand fading out the closer it gets to a route and eventually there is none in the route too which looks exceptionally good!
there are pictures up above. I think the andesite and sand looks overall better.
and also might i add for the tweaks and fixes i also added SEAGRASS IN the water at corners outside of the main area which you can surf in which also makes it look overall cleaner and better.
anyway...
wrapping the main part of the map up with a whopping 137 hours and 25 minutes of work! I try my best to get the most accurate assumptions of how long it takes! anyway, I tried my best to make the battle tower stand out and look accurate. It looks good and accurate to how it looks in crystal right?
anyway, the maps not out yet, so please do not spam my comments with "WHERES DOWNLOAD". that can get really annoying and i want yall to know that. anyway, Im thinking about fixing mt silver. someone told me that in crystal, the peak of mt silver isnt actually the "peak" and that that part is inside a cave. well i think otherwise. anyway, the scale looks wrong. like when you go into silver cave, go through the first floor, but then in the second floor and see the exit to the peak, it seems as if how high the peak is doesnt match that. so i might possibly add areas you can go to on the outside of the mountain, then gradually climb the mountain to get to a cave part that then brings you to the peak. let me know in the comment if i should do that. anyway....
