Kabenouchi is a Japanese-style city from the middle ages, which I built over the course of about two years. The buildings are fully furnished and have chests containing items, so I recommend you take the time to explore each one.

Warning! This build is not 100% historically accurate. If you strongly believe such builds should be historically accurate, proceed with caution.

  • The Lord/Emperor’s mansion (largest building complex)
  • Peasants’ district (buildings have wooden roofing)
  • Wealthier district (everything else)
  • Markets
  • A Shinto Shrine
  • Farms
  • A village
  • The Lunar Capital (in progress)
  • And more!

The village and gateway to the Lunar Capital are near the entrance of the city. You would have an easier time finding everything if your render distance is at least 12.

Japanese Culture 101 (this will be on the test):
  • Only take out Japanese bedding when sleeping, and put it away after waking up.
  • When visiting the Shinto Shrine for cleansing, bow twice in front of the offering well, toss in some money, clap twice, and bow once with your hands clasped together.
