Main IdeaWhile it may seem unoriginal, I'm almost obsessed with these kinds of maps in Minecraft. However, I've never really played one that really blew me away. So I decided to make my own attempt at a post-apocalyptic survival map.
The problem with many other maps I've found is that they are simply too small. I'm setting my goal of a large, yet detailed map. The map at this point is a circle with a radius of 2048 blocks.
Design/Layout
The map has the shore of an ocean on one side and a river cutting through the map leading to the ocean. The area where the ocean and river meet will be where the city is located. The city itself will be fairly large and detailed throughout. Several other features of the map may include a quarry/open mine, mountain(s), smaller town or community outside city, crater of impact from nuclear weapon, etc and tbd. Images will be uploaded soon! Very little work done other than the base map itself!
I am using World Painter for this project and most likely MCEdit later on. I'm not very experienced with map making so I may turn to the community for help or incorporate popular ideas. (No guarantees)
