Lost in Darkness
About: So this is my very first PMC contest, so stay with me here. This is my submission for the Nether Empire Contest. It was mostly done as a solo build with help from some really awesome people I will be mentioning soon.

Concept: So when I saw nether the immediate thing that jumped into my mind was spiky, angry, dark, gothic. So I naturally went completely against that. If you see the earlier Screenshots of my build looking super out of place. Hopefully I fixed that! My idea was to make this really fancy light build with ice details and quartz and just so not what you would expect to find in the nether and then I'd make it so it almost looked as if the nether was coming up kind of taking over the build which is where all the painting with the obsidian came in handy. I basically took the swirl designs I use in a ton of my builds, because i'm quite fond of them and kinda just by hand painted the obsidian into the terrain, builds and then made the creepy tentacles coming out of the ground. The statue kind of started as a I'm never going to be able to do this thing, but thanks to some big help from Dr_Stef (link below) I think it turned out pretty good. The idea was that she was the guardian of this land and she was being overwhelmed and pulled down and corrupted as well and I made kind of that giant pattern coming from her outstretched hand that it was her last ditch attempt to save the place basically, before she was completely corrupted.

Materials: 80 percent of this build is sandstone, quartz and ice 3 simple blocks. And of course the statue materials and the obsidian and nether materials =)

I'm not big on lore so I'll just leave that out now.

Do not load this build in a world with icemelt on
it will literally turn into a puddle
