IMPORTANT INFO:
There are some features/info about the map that are important but may not be immediately apparent so I will list them here:
-New players will spawn on Oceanic Flight 815 and then crash. If you want to see this cutscene again, do "/tag @s remove player"
-There are no natural vanilla caves on the Island
-Pigs are automatically replaced with Boar (Hoglins).
-Monsters will not spawn unless the "Heart of the Island"/"Source"/"Light" has been unplugged/turned off.
-If the Light is out, the entire Island will experience tremors and earthquakes, and if strong enough, will start to damage the player. There will also be a permanent thunderstorm.
-You can find the Hatch by traveling North from a triangular patch of gravel on the south shore. Refer to the imgur link for further assistance locating most structures.
-The Swan Station timer will not tick down until you have opened the Hatch (TNT or manually breaking it will work)
-The Swan rear doors have to be opened from the inside first.
-The Swan's light switch is the comparator next to the command block on the bookshelf with the jukebox.
-There is only one Failsafe Key, and it is located on the other bookshelf. Don't lose it. If you try to punch it off in Creative, it will break forever. Use middle click if you are in Creative. You can do "/give @p tripwire_hook[custom_name="Failsafe Key",enchantment_glint_override=true] 1" to give yourself a new one.
-Failsafe mechanism is accessed via the crawlspace entrance behind the left tape drive machines.
-If you trigger the failsafe, the Swan will be inaccessible forever. (But if you really want, you can reset it by pressing a hidden stone button in the center of the Hatch crater. Its tucked away underneath some iron bars)
-If you press the button on the Flame station computer, the station will explode. You have been warned.
-The Sonar Fence outside the Barracks can be disabled by pressing the button on a control pylon. There are 4 control pylons.
-When you turn the frozen donkey wheel in the Orchid, you will be transported to 'Tunisia' outside the map. This is the only way off the Island.
-Trying to sail away from the Island in a boat will lead to unfortunate circumstances and will destroy your boat. If you make this mistake, your best bet is to drown yourself.
-In Tunisia, if you travel South, out of the desert and into the plains biome, you will find another village. The Lamp Post is located underneath the cobblestone church. Use the button on the computer to print an Ajira 316 ticket in chat. Click the red text to board the plane.
Hey guys, you've been asking for it for a long time, so I have decided to deliver.
The Minecraft LOST Island Map is finally here on Java, and this time it's A LOT bigger, almost 20 times larger than the Bedrock version (in regards to surface area). It is a lot more detailed with a wider variety of terrain and vegetation, more accurate locations, and much, much more. This Island was designed with both singleplayer/adventure playstyles and multiplayer/SMP playstyles in mind, so you and your friends can join in and recreate nearly every scene in the show. Nearly all locations will are equipped with redstone/command-block play features, and with the power of display entities, all-new features that would have been impossible to recreate in Bedrock can now be accomplished in Java (like a working Swan Station countdown timer!). I'm super proud of where this project has taken me, and if you are interested, please like and share this page with other LOST fans (or even non-LOST fans who like big mysterious Minecraft adventure maps) so that they can experience this labor of love that I have spent so much time crafting for them.
This project took about 8 months to complete. Thank you all for your patience with me while I worked so hard to bring our favorite TV series to the greatest sandbox game of all. And now that I have finished...
Somebody, please do a Let's-Play and post videos of you playing!!! I would love to see you guys enjoying my creation! It makes it all feel worth it. :')
I have also created a Discord community server for you all to join and share your experiences on the map!
Hey guys! I've just made a dedicated discord server for this project that you are all free to join! When I host the multiplayer Minecraft server, the info will be there as well. Come check it out!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: "Where is my 'saves' folder?"
A: https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/4409159214605
Q: "Will you make a Bedrock version of this map?"
A: Not likely. The map is huge and most devices will be unable to support it. I would need to essentially rebuild many of the features due to a lack of display entities and NBT data in Bedrock.
Q: "Can I port this map to Bedrock myself?"
A: Absolutely! You can use https://chunker.app/ to do the conversion. Again, disclaimer, it may not work.
Q: "Will you add LAX or Sydney or *insert real world location here*"
A: I won't say never, but I won't make any guarantees either. For now, Tunisia and the Lamp Post is all you're getting.
Q: "Can I use this map on my YouTube channel/Minecraft Server?"
A: Yes, yes, YES! I would absolutely love that, PLEASE send me a link to the video/IP of the server so I can see for myself, and feel as though my efforts really were worth it :")
Q: 'Can I have a list of location coordinates?'
A: Here you go! https://pastebin.com/EMHszE4x
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS:
Thank you to Choekaas for creating the satellite-imagery styled map of the Island, upon which I based my worldpainting. Thank you for your careful and accurate placements for every location on the Island, and your wonderful LOST: Journeys series which helps me wrap my head around all the locations, movements, and plot points in this crazy show.
Thank you to Soundwave815 for your unwavering dedication and motivation to complete your LOST: Circle project which has inspired me to continue my own. Thank you for your support and your invite to the LOST Community Discord server. Thank you for providing me a space in which I can share my progress and feel appreciated.
Thank you to Jim108 for providing the much-needed reference images from behind the scenes shots and promotional material which allows me to make those sneaky areas we never get a good look at on the show as close to reality as possible.
Thank you to austen815 over on negasonicaps for your absolutely wonderful Lost screencaps website. Your diligence has allowed me to work on this project and recreate the locations and areas to a degree of accuracy that would not be otherwise possible.
Thank you to everyone in the LOST Community Discord and the r/lost subreddit. I would not be where I am if it weren't for your constant support and motivation to complete this project.
And of course, thank you to iKonaKona and prof_snape for creating that original Lost Minecraft Custom Map all those years ago. Almost 15 years now! Who would have thought a fun little side project would inspire some random kid from California to dedicate so much of his time to truly emulate his favorite show within his favorite game. Your map may not have been the most accurate, it was small and the locations were simple. But it had soul. And it showed me what was possible. I hope you are proud of the impact you have made to me and the rest of us Minecrafters in the LOST Community.
MAJOR SHOUT OUT to CarsonRocks35 on YouTube for his ongoing weekly lets-play of the map! Show him some support please!

Also be sure to check out _lone_miner's own version of the island, it's super cool, with some really awesome custom jungle trees and a ferocious smoke monster!
