Simple idea I had that I wanted to share. As mining fatigue potion effects get stronger, you break things slower and slower. There is a point in the game where you'd mine so slow the block would revert back before it showed damage. This can be done with a mining fatigue potion of power 9 or greater. I use 10 for all my potions because it's a nice even number to do calculations with. I made a spawner with Sethbling's MCedit filters and used it in my project. It works great, so hope this helps for you map makers out there!
