Hey guys.
This is what one of my builders made on the 1.8.1 world used by our server.
You can download that world save HERE.
It is a multiple story mob tower, with the first 3 or 4 (cant remember, sorry) being with mob spawners, and the others without.
It produces about 3000 items/hour when you stand beneath it all the time.
