The new RAY was a UG (Unmanned Gear), meaning it was controlled by an internal or external AI rather than a human operator. It is a modified model by Desperado and encountered by Raiden in 2018 during the events of the Desperado Incursions.
The boss in the first mission and in a segment of the Jetstream Sam DLC.
