Built into the heart of a mountain and 80 layers tall, it's a gigantic mine... complex... thingy. I guess you could call it a fully operational base since there is absolutely no need to revisit the surface after entering it.

When me and my two brothers started up a new server for 1.1, I wanted to do something other than make a house or a city. So I found the largest mountain available and began to hollow it out, creating a huge mine that became a sprawling complex.

The basic design is every 5 blocks down there is a 7x7x4 module that connects via bridge to the four sides of the shaft. Each of these connections leads to a different compartment within the base that each have a special task such as wheat farms, storage rooms, incinerators, and more. The modules are connected by ladders and stretch from the top of the mountain to bedrock, where a pool of lava lies.

The top of the mountain has a moss stone/cobblestone tower on top that is the entrance to the mine(needs improvement). There is also an emergency entrance in the side of the mountain, in the form of a wooden door that leads directly into the first module.

The module section of the project is complete, but needs some touching up. There are currently less than 12 compartments complete.

I will put up the download when I feel it is presentable.

Additional Notes

-- Each module is 7x7x4
-- The shaft itself is 15x15x80
-- Approximately 65 iron pickaxes and one diamond pickaxe were used during construction
-- There are 8 modules total
-- There are 32 potential compartments
-- The roof of the shaft is at layer 85, and the floor is at layer 5
-- Approximately 18000 blocks were mined while creating the shaft
-- Created 100% in legit survival mode
