To make the quality better use the cinematic camera. Assign a key to it in the controls menu (I would go with F12) and record it that way. Makes more much smoother shots.

You could also use MCEdit to make the Enterprise vertical and turn on the rain and record yourself falling down while looking up. Then reverse the footage and make ait a bit faster to simulate the Enterprise speeding through space.

Thanks For the input! I will definitely work with that. My next project is a shortened version of Disneyland's "Man in Space" which I hope to improve the quality of.
