NOTE - CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR PEOPLE INTERESTED IN EORKING ON THE PROJECT. MESSAGE ME IF INTERESTED!
Announcement - New Update! - Sorry for the long delay, but mid-terms got in the way. I'm assuming no one was waiting for this because I didn't receive any messages about progress. Anyway, cheers!
Overview
Minecraft Chase is a 3-5 player mini-game based off of Mario Chase, a game for the Wii U. In Minecraft Chase, one or two players are the runner, whose goal is to survive until time runs out. The other players, the chasers, have to kill the runners before the clock strikes zero. The arena is divided up into four areas (red, blue, yellow, and green), and each area has a different type of obstacle. For example, blue has bridges and tunnels, while red has a forest of skinny poles. Minecraft Chase is ready to play immediately without any plugins or mods.
The Map
Minecraft Chase has two parts to it: the menus and the arena. In between rounds, players are teleported to the menu system, which determines the number of players and who is the runner. Once each player is locked into their desired roles, the game starts. The players are teleported to the arena, and the runner is given ten seconds to run away. After the ten seconds, the chasers are released. The arena has three levels (spawn, first ring, second ring) and are connected through stair cases and water falls.
ONCE YOU FINISH THE GAME, TELEPORT BACK OT THE MENU BY EITHER TELEPORTING TO THE PLAYER WHO HAS DIED OR x = 1933, y = 4, z = 1533
Feedback is crucial to the quality of this map, so I encourage any/all feedback
Due to time constraints, this map will probably be updated slowly, but I will do my best. I hope you all enjoy.
PS - Feel free to make videos of my map, just send me a youtube link :)
Background (for those who care)
The inspiration for Minecraft Chase came from my friend's Will U. Specifically, Mario Chase, where one player runs away from several players chasing him. We had a blast playing it, running around, dodging behind obstacles and wallowing in mud. After I went home, I wondered how I could recreate the adrenaline rush of always being just an inch away from victory. I now present to you Minecraft Chase. While it currently has only one map, it also is ready to play immediately without any mods or plugins. While it may be slightly different from the original game, it still manages to get the adrenaline pumping and heart racing. I highly recommend you check it out if you have at least two good friends to play with, because it can get pretty competitive. Don't like the map? Change it. Don't like the rules? Change them. Minecraft Chase will get that blood flowing.
