NOTE: This map is intended, but not required, for those who have played the horror game Dark Deception. If you do not know what Dark Deception is, highly suggested to do some quick research before playing this map!

Basic Map Info

• This map will require a resource pack when you play it. It automatically apply when you join the world.
• This map is currently for Java edition 1.20.4
• Made for singleplayer only. Do not attempt to run this on a server or a realm!
• This map is currently a DEMO.

Map Description
Make your way through a dark version of Minecraft, collecting the purple soul shards scattered throughout a large cave system while avoiding the zombies and skeletons within. Don't let them reach you; one touch and you're dead!

So far, this is a demo version consisting of just 1 zone. The full map will have 3 different zones to complete. Upon completion of the zone, you will be graded and rewarded extra soul shards based on how well you did. You are offered 6 powers to use through the maze to help you survive and avoid trouble. Use the soul shards earned upon completion of the level to rank up your powers' abilities.

This game offers high customizeability. Adjust settings, up the difficulty, check game statistics, and more for a different experience with each playthrough!

World Download Tutorial

1. Download .zip file from MediaFire
2. Unzip the file. It should create a world folder titled "Minecraft Deception"
3. Make sure this "Minecraft Deception" folder does NOT contain another "Minecraft Deception" folder within it. If so, use that folder within instead.
4. Navigate to your saves folder for Minecraft. The directory is: %appdata%/.minecraft/saves (for Windows)
   
5. Drag and drop the "Minecraft Deception" folder into this "saves" folder.
6. Load up Minecraft on 1.20.4. The world should be in Singleplayer. If not, check that the above steps were done correctly or look up another tutorial for adding Minecraft worlds.
