**I've updated this so that when you first start, it sets the gamemode to peaceful, as the only place that requires fighting mobs is inside the funhouse. When you step into the funhouse now, command blocks change your gamemode to adventure and difficulty to easy automatically. When you leave it switches you back to peaceful. Fixes a lot of slime related issues.**

A medium sized theme park I've been building off and on for a while now. Originally started as a small roller coaster (actually the first creative mode thing I ever did) that turned into a fairly big roller coaster, and then I just started building more and more stuff around it.

Main coaster runs about 3 minutes, smaller one about a minute and a half.

There's a funhouse/puzzle house in the middle. You have to find a sword, then armor, then your bow and it will let you leave. Inside you have to figure out some puzzles, deal with traps, navigate through a 2 level glass maze, memorize some switch related combo locks and the such. It's also the only legit way to get a bow in the level, kind of forces you to see the whole thing if you want to shoot some chickens at the shooting range (you can see it in the screenshots).

Oh yeah, and please don't smash the glass inside. I really really really hate that that's an option now. Completely kills glass mazes and there's nothing I can do about it.

There is an obsidian maze, a small house with a dock that leads to a bunch of water you can bomb around in on a boat, a concession stand, and a drop o' doom into some water. About halfway up the climb to get to the drop there is an observation deck (a bunch of the screenies are taken from there).

Its meant to be played on survival/adventure mode, and because its superflat there is a bit of a Slime problem. I surrounded most of the level with a lava moat to kill the stupid things but the spawn changes in 1.3 made it so a few slip through the cracks here and there.

Pretty much the entire thing was built in 1.2.5, it still all works but there isn't any tripwire traps (that I would have loved to take advantage of in the fun house).

Anyways, feedback would rock. Most of it is pretty standard stuff but I'm fairly proud of the amount of wiring and tricky crap I was able to fit into the fun house.

Good crafting to you all.

Update #2 : by JerodMacDonald 12/09/2012 5:11:53 amDecember 9, 2012 @ 10:11 am UTC

Added command blocks to change the gamemode and difficulty automatically for the funhouse.

Everything but that works fine on peaceful, and it stops slimes from pooling in weird corners and making that awful noise.

Cool! I'm building a theme park too! I'm at 11 mini-games inside it, but still not finished.
