Hey guys, Im back after 3 months of being completely inactive on Minecraft.
Last time I was on, I was on to see if I could get enough players to help run my server again because to me, Minecraft has become utterly boring and I see absolutely no fun in it anymore sadly..
Played since 1.2 Beta so it got old.
Anyways, back to the topic at hand, I downloaded a Minecraft Portable Launcher, I have no idea where from, but it's creator, download, everything, seem to be wiped off the face of the planet..
Ive not seen any REAL Portable Minecraft Launcher other than this one and I prefer it over all other launchers (even the official one, yes) As it functions as the Official one but makes modding much easier and you dont have to go searching your application data folder and all. Plus, its portable. Stick it on a flash drive, and there you go!

Please note, this DOES NOT include ANY other file other than the Portable Launcher itself.
It does not have the minecraft.jar or any other of minecrafts files, and Pirating and stealing Minecraft is just..Stupid.
Just buy it. I dont play anymore but the 20$ was worth it.
Credit goes to the lost creator of this Launcher, I am merely putting it back out for Minecraft Players to enjoy and bask in.
So, what this Launcher does, is instead of saving the Minecraft data into your AppData folder, It saves your data in the same directory, or, area/folder, that you currently have the Minecraft Launcher in. You can copy over your game saves and texture packs by opening the mcp_data folder (stands for minecraftportable_data, obviously).
Note that when you open the mcp_data folder, you will see the normal ".minecraft" folder, just like standard minecraft! Cool, right?
The Version of the Portable Launcher is the last one they released, at version 2.5.2, the Launcher version, not Minecraft version.
As you can see, im running Minecraft Beta 1.9 Pre-Release. I got tired of the new minecraft.

From the pictures though, you can see that the Portable Launcher acts EXACTLY like the original Launcher that you get from the Mojang website, It just saves in a different Directory.
Yes there are ways of doing this with a .bat file, for those whom know about that, but I dont like that method and it doesn't seem as neat or anything, although with a bat you can run a LAN server with as many people as you want with custom usernames, which is neat but only works for Offline servers. I have that as well if I get several people interested in that, Link for that .bat is here and you will likely need to point the .bat to your minecraft.jar
Its current Offline name is Dante2270, you can change it to anything you like. Only works offline.

Got rid of a duplicate image i posted for some reason.. Also as a note, the Icon for the game doesnt show up on Windows XP only, that is the only difference i have ever noticed, Although not many people use XP anymore anyways, just a heads-up

This launcher was several years before he took up his launcher project and never updated after then, I just wanted to post the clear and clean launcher with no extras and all back up. Updated now cause they changed it again to a worse and retarded launcher buut. yeah. His launcher was pretty cool, he hasnt shown me it for a very long time now though
its still being updated regularly
