Basic Info
The MST Mk2 (Miniature Submersible Turret Mk2) is a naval/waterless TNT Cannon with an adjustable arc functional in Vanilla Minecraft originally designed by BaccaYarro/Loraxe42 for the South Haven Submersible Fleet's Barracudas. The original MST designed by BaccaYarro fires only 2 projectiles while this upgrade to the gun allows 5 projectiles to be fired (or 10 if you remove the locking system).
It's considered to be a naval gun as the cannon doesn't have water in it until it is fired. The water is dispensed when the gun is fired and retracted after the firing cycle. This is necessary as some Movecraft craft types cannot have water on them. Crafts such as Subairships, Ships, or Submarines are all water crafts that cannot merge with water and thus cannot have water in their TNT cannons. The shell of the turret and gun barrels are for both aesthetic purposes in order to cover up unsightly exposed Redstone, waterproofing, and for protection if the turret is shot at by another TNT cannon.
Note: Make sure when installing the gun that you do not block any of the places a piston needs to extend into.

The central timing mechanism for the gun is a pulse extender. How it works is that when the turret is powered by the Redstone torch tower underneath it, the propellant is dispensed. Upon powering the turret, the comparator clock is also locked preventing it from dispensing projectiles too early while a delayed signal is sent to the back of it. When the power turns off, the comparator clock is unlocked and the delayed signal stays on for a period of time turning the comparator clock on dispensing projectiles. A separate repeater train is sent to the pistons which control the arc of the gun. The pulse extender acts to determine when the piston will extend and when it will drop. The projectiles when dispensed will sit on top of the extended piston and drop when the piston retracts.
The point at which the projectiles are at while they fall as the piston retracts when the propellant explodes is what determines the arc/trajectory of the gun. The longer the pulse is given to the gun, the later the piston will drop and thus the higher the trajectory. The shorter the pulse is given to the gun, the lower the trajectory. Because the projectiles are in mid-air when the propellant explodes, the blast force from the propellant TNT is unhindered by anything and allows the gun to reach much longer ranges with less propellant than most guns that use slabs or other mounting blocks for their projectiles.
A separate wire in this gun to the water dispenser makes this a naval gun. One of the dispensers in the propellant chamber has a water bucket that dispenses with the propellant. A separate repeater trail within the gun attached to the piston mechanism sends a signal to the water dispenser to retract the water after the gun has finished cycling.
The central timing mechanism/pulse extender is outside of the gun and can be wired to multiple turrets in order to adjust the trajectory and fire multiple turrets at the same time with the same trajectory.
Movecraft Compatibility
The turret is compatible with the Movecraft plugin and can be mounted on airships or as a stand-alone rotating turret if you wish to use it for base defense. This is intended on use on ships for the Pirates of South Haven, primarily on the Barracuda, but it can be used for many other purposes given modifications.

No plugins are required for the cannon to function as it is a purely Redstone device. However, the cannon can be used on Movecraft warships with their turret feature to allow it to face in different directions. Some servers that run Movecraft are ToTheEnd, Airship Pirates, and Strangelands.
