maybe moat, a secret exit out, lava inbetween the walls so if someone breaks them lava pours out, an outside wall with a town inside with a railway station, a lookout post on the hills above etc...

I'm already working an a railway station, but that lava wall thing kinda turned me on.. "starting to collect lava"

unfourtainly, the basement is already under it.
I'm also a bit afraid of starting a fireplace, because i had some traumatizing experience with fire and wood : (
