So I got my sisters going on Minecraft Pocket Edition, and now they are curious about the full PC version. I realized it can be hard for some to simply pick up by watching, or learning it as they go (like I was forced to do). Wanting to ever continue Minecraft's journey onto the PC of everyone and his grandmother, I decided to build a short tutorial, covering, the everything from the basics of navigation, to block breaking, basic crafting, mining, how to procure food, and a short bit about each of the various hostile mobs one is likely to encounter on an average night in the overworld.
Now while I list this as 100% complete, I encourage any and all to let me know if you have any suggestions or corrections.
That being said, this isn't meant to go fully in depth on proper strip mining technique, or how to build a TNT cannon or redstone calculator. This is standard, crash course in Minecraft, something to walk through before starting your first map.
If I decide to update with any corrections or additions, I will, of course, cite the contributor. I look forward to getting some feedback, and I'd love to hear stories of people using this to introduce their family and friends to Minecraft.
Enjoy.
