Im building a medieval style manor but can't decide what design to have for the walls. The pictures so two designs I have so far. Please comment on which one looks better or if you have a different idea all together.

the first 1 looks better, looks like more time has gone into it and looks amazing due to that. maybe you could make two of the main house bits and connect them with the protruding parts, and have a center courtyard?

you currently have the main building, and the two wooden bits that stick out. if you added another main building-like structure to the other end of the wooden bits, you could make a courtyard in the square you make:

< = wooden sticking out bits

Oh I get you haha. Sorry im a bit tired this morning haha. I might try that later but will finish the house of the size it is at the moment. But thanks for the idea.

First one looks the best. But when I make medieval houses, castles, buildings. I go from heavy material to light material. So the bottom layer it's walls are then stone/cobble and the parts up there are wood, or in your case, out of wool. That's how I do it.
