Op diamond swords have come back in MC 1.12! You can even ONE HIT KILL the ENDER DRAGON with such swords!

Command:
/give @p minecraft:diamond_sword 1 0 {AttributeModifiers:[{AttributeName:"generic.attackDamage",Name:"generic.attackDamage",Amount:65535,Operation:0,UUIDLeast:894654,UUIDMost:2872}], display:{Name: "god sword",Lore: ["A GOD SWORD"]}}

Note: This command was only tested in MC 1.12. It might not work in newer versions of Minecraft.
