Ostrog Monastery — Temple Contest

The Monastery of Ostrog (Serbian: Манастир Острог/Manastir Ostrog, pronounced [ǒstroɡ]) is a monastery of the Serbian Orthodox Church sitatued against an almost vertical background, high up in the large rock of Ostroška Greda, in Montenegro. It is dedicated to Saint Basil of Ostrog (Sveti Vasilije Ostroški), who was buried here. From the monastery, a superb view of the Bjelopavlići plain can be seen. The monastery is located 50 km from Podgorica and 15 km from Nikšić. Ostrog monastery is the most popular pilgrimage place in Montenegro



Entire mountain was built by hand, it took about 3 full days of trying to perfectly replicate the real mountain, and playing around with the colours for a nice look. The colours used for the rocks are as closely represented as the ones in real life.

The build was originally just going to be the 1.5:1 scale build but we later decided to create it into a table display , as if it was a model replica of the real life thing. The walls were designs inspired by T3sla’s room in irl, and the paintings were done by kio witch gave a amazing effect being placed in a window shape. This build was a rush towards the end as time was not on our side due to work and other complications.
