Welcome to Zikaland,

(We have "finished" our work on this world, and have decided to move on. We are uploading the world in server form because its very multiplier friendly, as Sean and I built it together. All things made of red brick are a blockade meant to increase the safety of the house with 1.6.2. Unfortunately the safety of the house decreased after zombies gained the ability to see up to 48 blocks, but the new blockades work pretty well. They are not meant as a final, but a function that is necessary. This world would make a great starter world as all the building blocks are in place, and many of the surrounding mines are not yet explored. Please enjoy the world we worked so hard on)

We also have the world save which takes place after we blew the whole house up. Several sections survived and it now makes for a fascinating cave adventure. That world can be found here https://www.dropbox.com/s/5i1hblzjzrug4nk/Blown.7z

During the past several months we have been playing on a server (vanilla survival) for fun. At first, we were simply living in a cave, to make it easier to gather resources from y:11 (in other words; diamonds). But since this winter (of 2012) our home has grown immensely, and is here to stay. It's gone under many changes, and continues to change and form around our needs. Many sections of our house change even if they satisfy our needs; just to keep things interesting.

The surface of the world above our home is covered by a glowing forest, which is essentially trees with pumpkins in them. To get down to our house, we have a long water shoot, which drops you out into the entrance/exit portion of our house. To leave, we have installed a minecart elevator, which we have found to be incredibly efficient. Stairs lead to the main portion of the house, which has wheat, potato, and carrot farms lining the sides. A large number of furnaces hugs one corner of the home, with a semi-hidden storage/crafting room behind.

Continuing down the house, we have a very spacious, efficient mushroom farm (although it would be much better if we had mycelium), a temporary sheep and chicken farm, and a nice permanent cow farm. We have also begun construction on a small pig farm, but we've never found pigs to be that resource/useful. The house spills out into the farm section, which includes a large sugar cane farm, and piston controlled pumpkin, watermelon, and netherwart farms. Below all our farms are incredibly extensive branch mines, which we've begun to dig out in search for resource; literally sucking our world dry.

But our house is not limited to just one level! No! We have a second level which includes a potions room, a skeleton xp farm (which utilizes a mob crusher to knock the skeletons down to low hp), an enchanting room, and a potion storage room. This is all right across from the entrance/exit of our home. Next to the potions room we have our bedroom, full of our diamond and enchanted goodies. We also have a trophy wall of our prized kills and enchants. A hallway from our room leads to our larger storage room, which, still under construction, will be used to hold our excess resources.

Our world also includes many villages, which we've exploited to no end, incredible mountains, oceans, valleys, lakes, rivers, you name it. Here's a little look at what we have so far. We may eventually upload it for viewing by other people, or for a good head start if someone wants it....we mean a REALLY good head start. :)
