This is my first big project in Minecraft, and after a few days of hard work it's finally finished.

I have always fancied Persian architecture, and I'm planning on making a Persian temple in the future. And if you were wondering: Yes, I made the arches in the Aether spawn :3 Though some Knick-knack destroyed the big and fancy one and made some bloody Steve character instead >_>

Anyway, it's been real fun making this, though the dome was a pain, and I had to redo it a number of times. Digging a hole through the whole island wasn't pleasant either, but I was lucky to get help from my friend Niufox *cheers!*.

I've learnt a whole lot, and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed building it! :D

UPDATE: The Aether world in which this was built has been reset (which to my opinion is great, it was a chaos), but the good news is the tower is available for download as a schematic. Hopefully it will be imported to the new Aether when it gets public. Have fun!

I think you should add something at the bottom to balance a bulky top.

I disagree. You have to understand that the dome is what adds the "Persian" so it should be the most noticed part. If you had a huge bottom, it would take attention away from the dome itself...

Thing is, I want it to appear like the tower is a unit in itself, and that the cliff has adjusted to the tower rather than the other way around. Might sound a bit fuzzy, but I think adding a base to the part of the tower where it meets the ground would in some ways take away the feeling that it actually goes through the ground.

Oh, Ok then. Maybe I tend to lean towards bigger "landskape" architectural ensembles.
And will we see a schematic file? If not of the whole tower at least upload a schematic of the dome, I will never build it on my own ><
