Posthistoric Survival
Welcome to my city ruins scenario! Resources are highly scarce, so thriving here is done by looting, raiding, and repairing your land
How to play:
The objective is similar to regular survival, except you progress off the ruins of an abandoned city. Search residences for food, weapons, tools, and armor.
Next you gear up and attack fortified buildings to take large scale loots, and equipment that allows you to make your own resources once again.
You can earn shelter, mining equipment, farming equpiment, and wood in order to rebuild from looting fortified buildings
You will notice there is no way to access certain parts of the map. You can, but you will likely need to have some type of equipment looted from somewhere else. Ex. Some large falls you need to find a bucket to get water to cushion your fall and survive. Keep expanding and see if you can figure out how to reach the end dimension!
Minecraft version
Made for 1.1. As long as it's 1.9pre5+ it will work. I am unsure of the current pre-releases but I believe it will work anyway. Performance should be a non issue, as most caves were removed, which is less rendering.

The city is (almost) full scaled, meaning if you look at PHS, the buildings are usually enough for a single room per floor. This is not the case in this map. Not all are huge but a decent more realistic size. It will be based on doing "missions" as well as I can in minecraft, a system of redstone might somehow monitor what was completed and unlock the next thing you can do/place you can enter. This would be a challenge for me, but not out of my knowledge to set up. Such would include anything I could put in a minecraft adventure map(parkour, redstone challenges, mob fighting) I will, however do my best to integrate the whole survival concept of PHS to the gameplay.
The map's texture pack will be quite neccesary here. Without it, the map will look like a rainbow of wool. I'll probably re texture all aggressive mobs to variations of zombies to maybe make the zombies the enemy. I dunno, like I say I'm not big on giving my minecraft maps anything more then none or a very basic storyline. For this map, you are dropped off in a city that has been evacuated because of me not wanting 5,000 villagers lagging the place pushing me everywhere, and you have to kill the retextured zombies, so guess it's a zombie survival game!
