Hi guys.

Tonight I have yet another blast furnace build for you. While it is still a Pre-WWII design of the furnaces, the overall layout of the facility is different from the previous project. Therefore, it warrants it's own project page. Don't worry though, the classic Carrie-Based design is still being worked on, I just happened to finish these two furnaces first.

These two furnaces differ in that they each have their set of hot air stoves to the left of them as opposed to both sets being in the middle. Therefore, the build itself takes on a new look, based much more off of something like Carrie #1 and #2 as opposed to #6 and #7.

Fun fact, these two furnaces were originally built like the older design, yet I recently improved upon it on a seperate build. So I wanted to try my hand at redesigining these furnaces to look different from the other two, just to give the overall plant some variety.

These furnaces were actually the first two I built on this world, with 4 others following it later (excluding Carrie). Its all on the same world as the Homestead Train Station, Streamlined J3 Hudson, and Open Hearth Furnace, similarly to the previous world which housed all my builds (Don't worry, I have plenty of backups in various locations. Nothings going to be lost this time)

Well thats about all I can say about it. Stay tuned for updates/more steel mill builds.

It's very monotone, but the design seems pretty good.

Well thanks but, what do you mean by monotone?

There are very few colors.  Of course, a furnace isn't going to be very multicolored, but it still is less than eye-catching to the average player.

Well, you said it yourself. A blast furnace only really consists of steel gray and the occasional brick colors. And with Minecraft's limitations, theres not much to look at.

Most people judge builds by the cover image, so next time I suggest you make a render or a closer shot of something such as the railcars.

Well see I don't know then if people will know what its supposed to be. Like if i had a closeup shot of one of the engines pulling a ladle car they might just assume the project is just that train. As for a render, my PC literally can't run any type of shader. The Smooth Lighting + Moody Brightness is the best I can do.
