The RMS Queen Mary was launched in 1934 served on the transatlantic route till WWII and then got converted to a troop transporter which carried 15,000 troops, Hitler himself put out a high reward for the submarine that sinks her but she never sunk. She was protected by an old outdated british cruiser, both were going the "zig zag course" and then the contact between the RMS Queen Mary was lost and lines crossed, the HMS Curacoa was right infront of her bow as the might liner was smashing into the HMS Curacoa. The Queen Mary split the HMS Curacoa right in half and sank, the Queen Mary wasnt allowed to stop for saving the soliders so the bulkheads were closed and she kept going to the next harbor in I believe Southampton for repairs at her badly damaged bow. 1947 The Queen Mary had her first atalntic crossing after WWII and in 1952 the Queen Mary lost the blue riband to the brand new SS United States and beat the fastest atlantic crossing of the Queen Mary by 9 hours. In the 60s she was retired and sold to Long Beach where she was restored. The Queen Mary today is permanently docked at Long beach till today but last year a marine survey did point out that she is in really bad condition, she is beeing restored again at the moment on google you can see she just got a fresh paintjob
