well, actually ragnarok includes the destruction of the whole world as well as the re-creation of it. After the "faith of the gods" the god Odin reborn as "Fimbultyr" (because he gets killed during "faith of the gods") establish a balanced good world reborn from the ashes of the old destructed world. So the ancient nordic gods were basically like the new world order guys are today. Lol.
