Ramstone Frontier Redux

This small and sparsely populated outpost on the fringes of civilization, in the middle of the Ramstone Frontier scrubland, is best known as a backwater hellhole. It does, however, stand on a major trade route, bringing many people from all over the known world through it's purview. It is defended by a somewhat lackadaisical local militia, corrupt and easy to bribe. The majority of its inhabitants are involved in smuggling and the black market, and it is considered notable for its preponderance of massive boulders dotting the landscape.

The Ramstone Frontier holding, which belongs to a fat and lazy earl, Nathaniel de Cobham, abounds in history and folklore; many stories told by mothers to frighten their children originate from the Ramstone Frontier scrubland. Some say the stories are just stories and unfounded, however many who have been here describe, at the very least, a very uneasy feeling the entire time. The frontier covers a total area of about 86,503 square miles, with about 72,000 square miles of that being poor scrubland. The land is very nutrient poor, almost nothing of worth grows and only small thin trees and shrubs punctuate the land, however the weather is invariably mild almost year round. The only fauna that appear are goats which abound throughout the land.
