This is a fully functional Bitcoin miner running from inside Minecraft, built by me and Armadillo28. There are no commands or cheats, just good old-fashioned redstone.
We finally got round to doing a follow-up and providing a world download!
To run the machine, you'll need to connect to a real Bitcoin node and input that data into the game using a Python script I created. You can find installation and setup instructions in the Github repository. Be warned, though, it is very finicky.
It essentially just performs SHA256, so if you for some insane reason need SHA256 computed in your build, this can do that too (although you'd have to modify it slightly).
