This is a creation in minecraft of a computer capable of running Conway's Game of Life using redstone. The Game of Life is an example of cellular automatia, meaning the evolution of discrete "cells" is tracked throghout the game. Conway's game of life, and this redstone machine; is dictated by the following rules:
1) Each cell remains active if it either has three active neighbours, or is itsself currently active and has two neighbours.
2) In all other cases, if a cell has 1,4,5,6,7,8 active neighours, the cell will deactivate. If it has two active neighours, and is itself inactive, it will stay inactive.

This game of life board contains 64 cells on a 8x8 matrix, each cell containing 1520 pieces of redstone wire, and 351 redstone torches. An image below is of a single cell.
