Introducing RMS Queen Mary 2 in Minecraft!
This is a 1:1 build of the Cunard liner RMS Queen Mary 2! This build is in her "Remastered" refit form.

Disclaimer: Due to the age of this build and how I used to build, there is a major misalignment in one of the elevator/stairwells shafts. I apologize for that mishap but there's nothing much I can do today. Aside from that mistake, please admire her interior spaces instead :)

A few things to Note about this build:
1) I recommend you use the Natural Texture Pack for full immersion.

2) I build in 1:1 scale, but building in this scale comes with limitations. Some areas may be distorted or compromised due to scale and sizing when building in 1:1. Compromises have to be made in order to complete the build. Some areas may not resemble the actual ship and in those circumstances, I have to fictionalize some aspects about the build to "balance out" the build or to allow player interaction. I fully recognize 1:1 is not a perfect scale to build in but I personally find 1:1 to be the sweet spot for me.

3) I don't build cabins, engine rooms, or crew spaces. The reason is there is little to no information on what some of these spaces actually looked like, so I'd rather not spend the time to build something that I don't have information on. There is dead space on my builds because I primarily focus on class accommodations (Lounges, Dining Rooms, etc) and tend to focus less on passenger corridors, cabins, crew spaces, etc. I apologize in advance if you expect a full build with no dead space.

Short history of RMS Queen Mary 2
The RMS Queen Mary 2, often simply referred to as QM2, is a British transatlantic liner and the flagship of the Cunard Line. She was constructed in France at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard and was launched in 2003. Her naming ceremony was conducted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2004. The QM2 was designed to replace the Queen Elizabeth 2, which served as Cunard’s flagship from 1969 to 2004. With a length of 345 meters and a gross tonnage of 148,528, the QM2 was the largest passenger ship ever built at the time of her launch. Unlike most modern passenger ships, the QM2 is a true ocean liner, built to cross the Atlantic Ocean on a regular schedule, and she continues to serve on this route today. Her design features a variety of amenities and entertainment options, making her a popular choice for transatlantic crossings and world cruises. Over the years, the QM2 has become an iconic symbol of British maritime heritage and luxury ocean travel.
Fun Fact: QM2 carries one of Queen Mary's original tyfon whistles on her funnel. It is located on the Starboard side and she has a replica version on her port side!
