The RMS Windsor Castle was an ocean liner operated by the Union-Castle Line making voyages from England to South Africa. The ship served during WW2 transporting allied soldiers, and was sunk on 23 March 1943 by an aerial torpedo off the coast of Algeria. The Windsor Castle, and its twin, the Arundel Castle, were the only ships with four funnels designed and built a route other than the transatlantic crossing.
