RN Brindisi is a hypothetical further development of the heavy cruiser project for the Spanish Navy, combining the features of Anteproyecto preliminar VIII-203 (four 203 mm mounts) and Anteproyecto preliminar XII-152 (four triple artillery mounts).

She is recognizable as the tier IX Italian cruiser for Italy in World of Warships.


Italian/Spanish heavy cruiser programs:

The Genova-class was a class of Italian Heavy Cruiser, compromising 2 ships, the Regina Marina Genova, and the Spanish Galicia.



While originally commissioned by Spain in 1927 to revitalize its ageing pre-dreadnought fleet, the resulting design was eventually ordered by Italy as well as a one-off heavy cruiser that would later inspire the Udine-class.



During the late 1930s, the Spanish Navy was pursuing another class of Heavy cruiser to succeed the American armed Triunfo-class Heavy Cruiser.



Since allied support of Spain all but vanished after Franco's victory over Monarchist Spain, Franco was left to the other european fascists powers to attempt to build a new warship.



Italy's Ansaldo shipyard stepped up to the plate, as Germany was in the middle of a boom of naval warship construction. The resulting project would be nicknamed the "Barcelona Project".



The resulting design was under 3000 tonnes lighter then the Triunfo-class, but carried much larger armament of 9x- 9.4in guns.


Her armoring scheme thicker than the preceding Italian Zara-class heavy cruiser, except for a belt thickness of 150mm of the same thickness of the Zara-class.

Built in 1.12.2 using slightly modified Hans Pack. Textures are pretty much the same in vanilla with the exception of netherbrick and acacia wood.
