HMS Royal Sovereign 1786. She was the first through the line at Trafalgar in 1805 and played a major role in the Battle of the Glorious 1st of June in 1794, and in 1795 she was the lead of a small fleet of 5 ships under Admiral Cornwallis when chased and attacked by a French fleet of 12 ships of the line.
Some of Cornwallis's ships were legging behind and were falling slowly into the grasp of the leading French ships guns. sensing that his ships might be overtook and overwhelmed he turned Royal Sovereign around and went at the enemy's van of leading ships, attacking them singlehanded and battering the French van so badly they had to turn back, Meanwhile one of Cornwallis's quick thinking frigate Captains signaled that the British Channel fleet was approaching, using signal codes that were known to be cracked by the French, fooling them into believing that more British ships were on the way so the promptly retreated with great persuasion from Royal Sovereign.

She was relegated to harbor service in 1826 and broken up in 1841.
