Before I get to the greatness of this door, I'm going to give credit where credit is due for this fantastic door. The original door was created by yellowbertshirt of YouTube (I'm unsure if thats his MineCraft name...). The weatherless map this is made on was provide via another YouTuber by the name of imQuicksterz. The door is a little different from the original design. I ended up making it by watching the video provided by yellowbertshirt hundreds of times, and I figured I'd share it! And, of course, thanks to the Minecraft Wiki for the redstone help!

The door itself works quickly! I will be uploading a video of my own door soon, as the one linked is for yellowbertshirts door, not mine (although wiring is -very- similar). Please note (concerning wiring): the wiring does appear to be very diffrent between my own and yellowbertshirt. To me (and this could just be because I wired the second one) my wiring seems a little more clean. But, again, it could just be me.

And, before anyone ask, I will not upload MCEdit Schematics! This door is far too annoying to make, and I want people to know how to make it, and not place it and say "It doesn't work!!". By no means does this mean I won't help! But I want people to make this to fully understand it to know more on redstone, thats all.

Got a piston door or creation you'd like made? Comment on this, send me a message, or visit this blog post and I'll see what I can do! Just as a note, any special projects I take on will be made for public down

Additional Notes

This map does have signs to help out with recreating the door, along with understanding parts of it. But, since we all know signs suck for posting useful amounts of information, some signs may be confusing and have typos (sorry!). So here's what you need to know:

The pistons:

ALWAYS place them second to last! Once you have the wiring in place, put the pistons down, and test it. Once you know you have all the wiring correct, go ahead and place the other blocks around the piston. Also (I doubt I have to say this, but better safe then sorry) all pistons in here are sticky pistons! And, if you plan to work with MCEdits or WorldEdit, keep in mind that pistons may not retain their directions, so you may need to re-place them.

Redstone wiring and repeaters:

All the repeaters are set to exactly what they need to be at! When remaking this, make sure to get all the repeaters set to the right timing! All wiring on this map is either on grass, iron blocks, or gold blocks. Any wiring on glass and iron must be exactly like they are on this map! All wiring on gold blocks can be changed. There is also a gold platform that shows where to wire up a XOR gate if you truly want a door, and not a vault.
