Predominantly used for long-distance transport of non-essential personnel, ships like the Intrepid Valkyrie have seen increased use in biomes and terrain where foot travel is arduous, difficult or impossible. In amplified biomes, for instance, journeys can take several days or weeks by foot or horse, which can expose personnel to numerous threats. While not outfitted for battle or aerial combat, the Transport-Class Airships boast plated hulls, escape hatches and some of the fastest speeds of all airships.
