See, you might think the things that really hold the foundation up might be their security, or elite task forces, but in actuality, while they do all the work ensuring the site is safe and secure from anomalies breaching or hostile groups coming in, the backbone of the sites actual development towards their goals is actually held up by the researchers, and this zone is entirely dedicated to them and this is where they will research stuff in their labs, do paperwork in the vast offices, or just sit back and watch a seminar.
