This is a house with a HUGE nether portal outside that I conjured up with MCEdit and inside is a secure house with an underground base that is VERY secure and has a small lot to build whatever you want. There is five levers that do different things, activate a bridge, activate a door barrier (2), bring down bookshelves, and summon a secret entrance.

It's actually quite easy for me. Maybe not the most efficient way, but I make it in MC-Edit. What I do is first make the frame out of whatever I please, I would've made it out of dirt to give it that noobish sense x3 But just to play it safe I used obsidian. Then, I filled the frame with a certain block, in my case iron. Then, since my first one was a circle-like portal, I had to place a block of any kind at the point where the bottom and each side intersected. I went into MC-Edit and went into fill and replace then selected iron to nether portal. I then saved it and viola! I had me a portal!

you should name it panic house because it is a PANIC ROOM!!!! and I'am impressed by the nether portal it is ssssssssssssssssssoooooooooooooooo biggggg......ssssssssssssssss!!!!! BOOM!!!!

Lol. and thanks, the nether portal i made with MCEdit, it was originally a circle portal, but then I accidentally broke the wrong block, and it all went bye bye xD
