You lack little skill when it comes to detailing itself. The problem is that your detailing technique that you use here is actually only fit for small to midsized builds. As you may be able to tell from the pictures, on this large/giant scale it looks more like patterend noise.
The trick to preventing this is to shape the detail itself as well, and scale it up.
Instead of having detail segments as tiny as you would for a house, using single blocks as variation, try making larger shapes (detailed circles/triangles/arches) and place those on. Try to make shapes using one type of block, then intertwine them with another.
By that I mean that you do not vary the blocktype every other block, but that instead you create segments of shape and detail that are the same block and 2-3 blocks thick, and possibly numerous blocks long.
I'll see if I can show you an example of this later, but it would help your builds like these go from "pretty nice" to "wow that's amazing", and you would be able to ask much more for them as well.
The server who ordered this was Crazy Craft. And they
paid me $80!
You should probably submit your work to some kind of builder team and see if you could join them?
Or maybe you could build for more bigger server next time? So you get paid way more then this time? :)
Anyways awesome job! I hope I can get you to make my spawn if there's a time that I'll start a server.

btw, when I mentioned not god-level, I was referring to the method of detailing. I'll be typing up a few pieces of feedback that should help you achieve or at least approach the best you can reach with your techniques.
