A simple "AI' thing, you put stuff into a chest, and if the "AI" likes it more lights will light up If it doesn't fewer lights light up.
If you put in a whitelisted item-Input-Item Sorter-item Sorted-put different item into hopper-comparators from hopper-lights.
If you put in a non-whitelisted item-Input-Item sorter-Item not sorted-auto dispenser to lava-redstone line from dispenser-unblocks hopper for 1 tick-1 item back to dropper-comparators from hopper-lights.
I hope that made sense
In other words, the item sorter accepts some items, if an item is accepted, that is detected and a dropper inserts an item into a hopper pointing at it, if it isn't it goes into a dipenser, that is detected, the item is shot out, the hopper pointing into the dropper is unblocked, an item leaves the hopper back into the dropper. there is a comparator output from the hopper, going into a floor of redstone lamps, the more accepted (or liked) items, the more lamps are on (the happier the AI is).
