Hello again, everyone!
Following on from my Västerås build, my next Swedish destroyer build is the same design that forms the basis for the "Skåne" in World of Warships, a preliminary design for the Öland-class. I found the blueprint Wargaming used when researching the ship; it was one of many "jagare" designs drawn up during the Second World War.
Interestingly enough, the model is pretty accurate to the original designs, so tweaks are few and far between, although I've called it something else in my own world. I like to come up with my own names for paper designs, even if Wargaming's are accurate (which they're not always). It was a relatively straightforward build as the superstructure is quite minimal. Statistics are as follows:
Length = 111 Blocks (not including extremities)
Beam = 11 Blocks (ditto)
Draught = 3 Blocks
Primary Armament: 4 x 120mm/50 Bofors Model 1942 DP Guns [2 x 2]
Anti-Aircraft Armament: Ditto + 6 x 40mm/60 Bofors Model 1936 Guns [3 x 2], 8 x 25mm/64 Automatkanone L/64 Model 1932 Guns [4 x 2]
Torpedo Armament: 6 x 533mm Torpedoes [2 x 3]
I hope you guys like the ship as much as you did my last one. As always, thanks for all the diamonds, favourites and subscriptions, it means a lot :)
