This is my brand new project that I have built and it is the mighty Space Launch System as I promised! I managed to finish this on the same day as I uploaded the Saturn V as I just seem to have plenty of free time. The Space Launch System is planned to be NASA's next generation series of rocket. This version is the base line model or the 'Block 1' (Block 1A). This version is set to fly for the first time in November of 2018 and will take Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, which will be unmanned, to the Lunar Orbit and back. SLS is currently under development at NASA and a lot of the rockets aspects are carried over from the Space Shuttle. For example, the boosters are derived from the Space Shuttle and so are the core RS-25 SSME engines. I can't wait to see SLS take off in the next couple years as it will be one hell of a show!!
