I have created a WORKING travel pod from star trek 2, it can dock with Atrocities Miranda Class Starship hull type (that includes USS Miranda, USS Augustus and USS Yamato). Sadly it doesn't work with the constitution's docking system yet, but hopefully in the future it will.
The travel pod features two seats, lighting and a button operated door. Also there are warnings on the walls to add to the atmosphere:)
The one thing that is hard to do is to dock the pod, the best method of doing this is by lining it up roughly from about 4 meters away with the back end facing the dock, then turning the zeppelin controller off then back on again to line it up with the dock perfectly. After lining it up, back in slowly, once you hit the dock, tap the reverse to secure the craft.
WARNING, DO NOT TURN CRAFT OFF WHILST DOCKED. The results are not pretty, and will overload zeppelin mod/minecraft and break your legs.

Not only would it make moving my shuttles between maps impractical, but my build map is in serious disorganization with over 50 shuttles on it randomly placed, that and i have well over 10 star ships that i have NOT made that i use to test my shuttles docking or parking.
I'm sorry if i'm coming across as abrupt to come to a decision and harsh here, but it just isn't going to happen.
