What Is SM3DW:R?
Super Minecraft 3D World: Reborn (called 3DWR from now on) is a remake/continuation of Super Minecraft 3D World by Dubstep Wolf (I have permission from DW). It is not a continuation of my cancelled map, Super Minecraft 3D World, (a different one, same name. was going to be a remake of Super Mario 3D World. but hey I may reboot it one day)
3DWR will update all of the original map's worlds (Worlds 1-6), and add new levels (Worlds 6-9), while trying to keep the aesthetic of the original map by DW.
The map will also a modified version of the Clear Pipe datapack by SethBling, to allow for working clear pipes.
The map will be playable by yourself, or with friends :D

This map is a passion project, and I don't have much time to work on it due to my busy schedule. If I don't give you guys an update in a long time, its either cause I'm working on something secret or because I just don't have the time to work on it. It is NOT because it's discontinued. The map isn't discontinued unless I personally say it is. (which probably won't happen)

Something for everyone
Playstyles
The map will have something for all type of players:
Casual players will be able to enjoy the main game (Worlds 1-8) without much difficulty.
Skilled parkourists will be able to test their skills with the bonus worlds (Worlds 9-10)
Speedrunners will enjoy the built-in speedrun timer, and the (to be made in the future, once the map is nearly complete) speedrun.com page
Completionists will "enjoy" getting the collectibles you can collect in each level (see next section)

Collectibles
Types of Collectibles
Ace Medals and Golden Flags are completely optional for the main game, and are only used to unlock bonus worlds and buy cosmetics
Nether Stars are also used for unlocking some levels
Star Coins: 1 hidden in each level.
Golden Flags: Achieved by getting to the top of the flag
Ace Medal: Achieved by beating the level without dying
Gem: Getting everything in a World will give you a gem, basically a trophy saying "well done you got everything".

Hi! It's been a while since I last updated. I'm sorry to say that there hasn't been much progress on SM3DW:R. I have been doing full time uni study which doesn't leave much free time to work on mc.
The map is not dead. It is, however, taking a short hiatus so I can focus on fixing my work/life balance. I'm also pushing this map aside for a bit so I can work on a different, way better map. Like I said before, 3DW:R is not dead. Just don't expect it to come out anytime soon.

Biggest change is that there won't be mods. There also won't be cosmetics. I feel like I got so caught up with coming up with ideas that I lost sight of what this is meant to be, a continuation of a cool old map, and all this new stuff makes it more like a brand new modern map with heaps of random stuff getting chucked at you.
I'm keeping some things, like ace medals and golden flags for each level, but all the complicated stuff has been cut out.
Hopefully this big change in direction makes development much quicker, combined with the fact that I actually have the time to work on this, there should be a beta soon. No promises or release date, but that's what I'm hoping for.

I would put this as an update log but don't wanna get peoples hopes up when the see it's been updated lol. So I'll just put it here instead:
Mini update log thing
I've decided to keep this map true to the original, meaning no mods or extra collectibles. Just revamped versions of all the existing levels, and new levels to fill the empty spots. I may add some small extra things but I want this map to be faithful to the original. (Glass pipe datapack stays though ofc)
If you were looking forward to a modded parkour adventure map, I do have plans for an original map utilizing Create and such. That is, if I ever get this out lol.
Hopefully this means that, when I do get the chance to keep working on the map, it will be finished much more quickly.
So yeah sorry about that. You guys have been waiting for so long so when I do get the chance to work on this I'll get a demo out ASAP.
when it releases I'll turn off cheats, but I wont a command block like that. Instead, i'll probably do something like diversity 3 did, where going into creative (you can re-enable cheats by opening to LAN with cheats on) gives a "cheater" advancement or smth, but it doesn't actually do anything, its just so you cant tell your friends you 100%ed the game when you cheated etc etc
so yeah I wont add anything that locks you in adventure cause I hate it too when other ppl do that lol
