How to install Minecraft Maps on Java Edition

This is a city that I have been working on since 2020, it is the largest Minecraft build I have ever created!

It is planned to cover the entirety of a 1000m x 1000m island and contains over 100 unique buildings and detailed locations. Some buildings have full / partial interiors!

My intention for this city is to function more as an architectural portfolio than a realistic city-scape. If I have an interest in creating any sort of peculiar building, this is where it goes! It is a chaotic cluster of eclectic styles, from neo-classical and art deco to contemporary designs from around the world. It is always expanding and I have no idea where it's going to go next!

Note: The current download link is a version of the city from 2024. A lot of progress has been made since then and I will be updating the link soon. But for now still feel free to have a look around!

A fantastic work, I usually have a knack for telling which builds have had their heart and soul poured into them and with this there is no exception. Great use of planning and colour contrast, especially in the different city districts and so on. Have you thought of putting cars and lil people on the streets and buildings? In any case this is a fantastic project and I cant wait to see what happens next with this. Well Done!

Thanks that's great to hear! Yeah I've tried to focus on capturing the sort of energy and development variety you see in real cities, but with a more colourful / idealistic look. I will add more details like that at some point, going to start with trains / metro infrastructure then move onto that at the end, although am generally mainly focused on the architecture and landscaping. :)

Thanks so much! Yeah I love the old New York art deco / gothic buildings, especially the ones that have sadly been demolished; gonna do some more of them in the future :)
