This happened when i selected a superflat world but it gave me both. i spawned in a desert and then i saw the end of the world, which turned into a superflat world. the village is pretty glitchy with about 2 unfinished houses, 1 supertall house, 1 supertall garden, and a house that you cant enter.

One way this could have happened was you loaded an older map onto an updated minecraft, making the seed change, thus making any chunks not loaded from before it was updated generate the new chunks, and a different seed, instead of the old one.

I just selected superflat and made a world. it started out normal and then I saw a huge drop and the terrain just switched to superflat. It was in the same version so idk how this happened.

Odd, ture glitch right here, lol.
The only time I've had a place look like this was when I used MCEdit and copied land from one map, and pasted it into a super flat land.
