This Old West style ranch is a revamped version of the very first building I ever uploaded to PlanetMinecraft. I recently stumbled upon that project and decided it would benefit from a little overhaul. So first of all, I changed the color scheme from oak / dark oak to oak / spruce which in my opinion looks much better (in the new default look of Minecraft, at least). Then I added and changed a few more details in order to both enhance and balance the visual impression. And last but not least, it always bothered me that the second floor of the original house was only accessible by ladder, when a building as ornate as this one clearly deserved a decent staircase. So I restructured the interior to that effect, which also happened to benefit the layout of the house as a whole. To summarize – I'm very happy to present the perfected version of what was already my favorite build of all.

Do you plan to make a remake? (even with garden)
Probably not. I don't think of my builds as specific creations with complete surroundings etc. I just build whatever I feel like (or "need") in a given survival game, and if I think it's worth sharing, I replicate it in creative mode. The decorations I do include are just window dressing for the screenshots. I like to think that people who like my ideas actually use them in-game. And if they do, I hope they adjust everything to their taste anyway, instead of just blindly copying every single block.
