This is my take on the Host Tower of the Arcane, the famed mage tower located on an island just outside the Luskan port.
For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, google it or
read some forgotten realms books, they're awesome. Anyway, I never liked
the idea of a mage tower being a stand alone building, I always
imagined it with some kind of fortification around it, so hence the
building around the tower itself which serves as a dining hall/meeting
place. The building around the tower is empty, because I don't have time
to flesh it out, but the majority of the tower itself is fleshed out.
The following is an account of the floors of the tower.
Floor 1: Entrance Chamber (Where visitors would go to make appointments or make requests)
Floor 2: Enchanting Chamber
Floor 3: Alchemy Chamber
Floors 4-6: Residential ( Each floor has six rooms for a total of 18 normal rooms)
Floor 7: Library
Floor
8: The Masters Chamber (This chamber is where the entrances to the four
masters chambers is, which are the buildings that sprout from the
chamber)
Floor 9: Conference Room
Floor 10: Grandmaster's Chamber
Floor 11: Focus Chamber
Top Floor: Summoning Platform (This is where I imagine large summonings taking place
Sky Floor: ?????? (Only the Grandmaster knows what the highest floor is used for. . . . )
