The Borough of Aleksingham

  By all accounts, the Kingdom of Eisarnland nearly died with the Long Night. Many died, many fell into an inescapable coma, but some survived. And some were enough. After months upon months of toil, labor, and faith, the people at the southern tip of the peninsula of Ravenna found at long last, a roof over their head at the very least. A rather cozy borough, tucked away just across the bridge from Barnsborough. The Regent's government hastily set up in what was originally to be a courthouse, and things were good. All that remained now, was ambition. After all, this is only just the first borough of many for a much grander city, one to be the Jewel of World's Desire. All this was said with a single prayer to the gods:

Death to the Borrower.





  The borough sits on the southwesternmost corner of the peninsula of Ravenna, at the bottom of Eisarnthiuda territory. For now, it is the seat of their government, the courthouse serving a dual purpose as the council chambers. It features a riverdock with a Port Authority, several multistory houses akin to early victorian architecture in our timeline, smaller residences, mixed-purpose commercial/residential buildings, a military academy, a much needed hospital, and a Cathedral to Andros, the God of the Sun (among other things). The Kingdom is currently going through an industrial revolution of sorts, and the borough is soon to be joined by many others as the powers of steam and magitek take the country by storm and propel it into an age never before imagined by those who came before. Smaller gadgets already are in common use, and designs exist for grandiose steam-powered industrial machinery. The future looks bright, and even brighter in the East!
