Yo.

  Back from the dead, this 1.11 map has been given new life in version 1.15.1 ! Play around with 9 unique kits, a whole slew of custom options, a fully fledged cave system, and a brand new look, the Canyon is sure to be a blast!

  The Canyon itself is a FFA Kit P v P map, designed for groups of... Really as much as you want. The map is able to support as many people as you'd like, but you should get 4 + if you can. It IS 100 x 100, so the more the merrier. If you want a smaller version, click the link below! The map is played in adventure mode, thus you can't mine or craft. It's focused on using the tools you were given in your selected kit to kill other players. Every kit has it's own unique play style, so be sure to experiment with all of them.
  When I went into making this map, I wanted it to be a foundation rather than anything else, though it is fully functional without any player modifications. The map has several game play modifiers that you can use to spice up the map, like mob spawning, double health bars, or even loot dropping. Players can make their own game modes within this map, like team v team, juggernaut, or even P v E if you want. People should be able to use their imagination to make something fun for them and their friends.

Map Changes

Terrain
  Every single damn tree, bush, mushroom, rock, and plant has been given a new look.

Balance Changes
Valkyrie
  Removed Slow Falling effect. Replaces with Slow Falling Arrows. Change is intended to make Valkyrie more fun to play with, as you can now toggle your slow fall by shooting yourself.

Quality of Life Changes

Kit Selection
  Kits now automatically equip armor, and have the items laid out in order. Players can now get back into the action faster with this!

I operate a tiny little family server for minecraft and the teenagers were getting bored with the Vanilla world. I added your map through Multiverse and they are loving it! Thank you!

Thanks! It means a lot to me that my map is getting out there.
A major design overhaul is coming to the map soon, it's going to change all of the trees in the map to look more like the ones in the 1v1 version of this map.

If you can, I'd love to hear your guy's feedback when that eventually comes out.

A questions that people considering downloading this map are going to have that you might want to mention in the description above:
  • What are the victory conditions? (Since you didn't mention any, my guess it that it's to kill everyone on the other team(s), but it's definitely worth explicitly communicating that.)
  • How many players is the map for? Are there teams (how many?), or is it free-for-all?
  • What gamemode is it played in (survival or adventure), and what are the gamerule settings (e.g. Are mob spawning terrain destruction from explosions turned on? How about the day/night cycle?)
  • How big a part of the game is collecting resources, crafting, and teching up? Are all the resources in chests, or is there more of a focus on resource distribution through the blocks that make up the terrain?)
